Hi there 👋
I am Ella Taagen, and you can call me Ellie. As a geneticist and data scientist, I am motivated by solving research bottlenecks to genetic gain and sustainable food production. I completed my PhD in Plant Genetics at Cornell University in Dr. Mark Sorrells’ Small Grains Breeding and Genetics lab, where I focused on research bottlenecks related to meiotic recombination and genetic resolution. I am drawn to career paths in industry at the intersection of genetics, data science, and molecular biology.
